I hate exercising! I usually get my groove on once maybe twice a week in the bars or outside to some awesome live music.

It has been almost 5-6 months since I really got any dancing in. Moving like crazy then COVID-19 crap. Before I knew it I’ve gained weight, my joints ache and I was slowly falling apart.

I thought to myself what has changed. I’M NOT DANCING ANY MORE!

I did finally get out on July 4th and did some dancing to The Fossils at PineCreek. Wow! I was so out of breath but I kept going! One of my knees started to hurt too but I kept going. I finally reached my natural high and all the aches went away until I stopped dancing.

I forgot how much dancing is a part of me and how much I need it to live and thrive. I use it to bring joy to others and myself. I can’t stop, and need to rev-up my feet and get back out there.

The main thing getting in my way now is COVID-19! Very few are having live music at their establishments. Now you have to wear a mask while dancing! I already have problems breathing in them on a regular work day, plus I get a headache while wearing them. So wearing a mask while I’m dancing I feel I just might pass out right there on the dance floor.

A while ago I came across BodyGroove. It was a way to exercise while dancing and having fun. This sounds perfect for me, I did it and I loved it! Of course I went months in between workouts, but today I did it again! It is such a joy to do and I wanted to share it with my fellow dance buddies.

Since we are stuck at home, LETS DANCE!
