How Do You Clean Your Harvest?

Harvesting your produce is fun and easy but the cleaning and preparing part is time consuming. I had a wonderful harvest this morning but it took me a while to clean, soak, dry and chop, etc.

I use GSE (grapefruit seed extract) to help clean my produce. I fill a large container up with cold water and add 10 drops of GSE for every 4 cups of water. Soak for 10 minutes then lay out to dry.

To dry my greens I use a sweater dry rack. I love this thing! I can dry a huge load of greens in a small space because the racks stack on top of each other. If you want to dry everything fast position an oscillating fan in the front of the rack.

I wish I would of took a picture before I took all the greens off the racks.

This was my harvest for today, all cleaned and dried …

Lemon Balm
Curly Kale
Dinosaur Kale
Spinach
Genovese & Lemon Basil
Collard Greens
Baby Bok Choy Leaves
Baby Bok Choy Stalks Chopped

So how do you clean and store your harvest?
